I'm pretty disappointed with Verizon Wireless Broadband Access speeds out in north Clarence. My two year contract was up so they sent me a "free" UM175 USB modem if I signed up for another two years. It just arrived and I ran it through a few tests at DSLReports.com:

Turns out that the new UM175 is no better than the older EV-DO modem. Time to switch to Sprint EV-DO or convince Verizon to boost the landline for DSL. For comparsion, my Synacor-issued Sprint EV-DO clicks the following from the exact same location as the above test:
